KSC10 Kigamboni Street Children

Welcome to Kigamboni Street Children (KSC), a UK-based charity providing accommodation, food, clothing, education and counselling for some of Tanzania’s homeless children.

Street children is a major problem in Tanzania, where there are many thousands roaming the streets at night.

Our own experience indicates that children as young as four years old are wandering the streets of Dar es Salaam and nearby Kigamboni, without food, proper clothing, education or hope.

KSC has been set up as a result of our partners at Kigamboni Community Centre (KCC) (www.kccdar.com) who provide education and activities such as acrobatics, dancing and football for drop-out school children. Increasingly they have seen street children in attendance and it is our joint vision to provide these children with shelter, food, clothes, education, care - and a future to aspire to.
